Swelling under cast

Has anyone had this happe.....I feel like where my arch is....is swollen under the cast. My toes or leg isn't swollen and my nails on my toes show good blood return. I've got it propped up. It really isn't
Painful just irritating cause it feels tight. I'm wondering if it's the surgery pulling my arch up or what? I know it's driving me crazy! Any advice would be appreciates! This only started happening yesterday evening. Thanks!

Re: Swelling under cast

I just got my cast off today. Yeah! But i did not feel swelling and tightness in my arch but around my ankle. It would go in streaks a few days at a time. I just keot mine propped and stayed out of the heat. Some tightness is normal. If it gets too bad contact your doctor.

Re: Swelling under cast

Went to the er and they cut a bi valve in my cast and they wrapped in back in an ace bandage. The cast is still on and still has support but the pressure is released under my foot! Thank god!
