Double bunionectomy-25 days post op

I have been reading comments from others about this type of surgery before and after my surgery. While I was worried and concerned about mobility issues, and a positive outcome, I am finally starting to see that my recovery is right on time. My doctor was really good, and I see him weekly. The last visit he told me I could take quick showers, and re-wrap the wounds myself. Three weeks of sponge bathing later, I am ecstatic. Of course there is some pain in moving the big toes, and the scars aren't totally healed yet, but after the pain of the first two weeks, I feel like I am on the road to getting into my own shoes again soon. He told me that he is looking forward to my being able to get into my athletic shoes within the next week, which is excellent. I have to go to a trade show in four weeks, and hope I can at least wear flats by then.

The main advice I have, is that if you need to do both feet, do it at the same time, why suffer through the same process twice?
