some numbness from cam boot?

I'm wearing a pneumatic cam boot for a Jones fracture of the left foot. I did not require surgery..they are seeing if it will heal on it's own. Anyway, the boot was fine for almost two and again I seem to be having numbness in the foot and leg. Also, the boot does not feel as comfortable as it was in the beginning. Can anyone comment on this normal? I am seeing the doc again this week. Thanks

Re: some numbness from cam boot?

Pretty much normal, but pay attention to your pain. your body is always talking to you, especially when something's not as it should be.
I did notice that when I finally got out of one of my braces, I had to pay closer attention to how my knee operated while walking. I Had become accustomed to it working to make up for the lack of motion in my ankle, and when the brace came off and I could walk without it, my knee would sometimes try to bend the wrong direction, hinging toward the front instead of bending to back as I took a step. I think hyperflexion is the term.
We're all different, so pay attention to your body talking to you and mention it to your doctor.
