Hi, just trying to find someone out there who's had a Zimmer DeNovo treatment on their Osteochondritis (talus). I've got stage 1 that won't heal, I'm a 43-year-old with years-long history of ankle sprains. Tried 10 weeks on crutches, months of therapy but to no avail, sprained my ankle again last week and feel like I'm back to square one. Microfracture doesn't look to promising and neither does OATS or Mosaicplastic either. This cartilage transplant thing appears to have not much clinical evidence but anecdotal would help me make a decision. Thanks in advance!
Wow that hit the on the head, thank you very much! I'm not even sure of the size, I'll ask my doctor. He treated it conservatively last fall with 10 weeks on crutches. I was three months into PT this spring when I sprained it bad and now I feel like I'm back at ground zero. Like many people on these boards I have a history of chronic sprains on that ankle. I really hit PT hard and was surprised that I still had quite a bit of pain, particularly on my bike, which I never got back to riding much more than to work and back. What's your experience with OCD?
