It's so weird when something you used to do so naturally now feels so difficult and strange, isn't it? To have to WORK at walking, and consciously think about it?
When I tried the bike at PT for the first time the other day (with no resistance and very slowly), I got "stuck" every time my bad foot had to make it around the bottom cycle. I was able to smooth it out a bit after about 8 minutes, but it was still a bit jerky even then.
The thing I noticed the most was that it felt fantastic to put weight on the straightened KNEE of my bad leg. My right knee has spent so much time bent and kneeling over the past several months, that when I finally straightened it and put weight on it, it felt like the most wonderful stretch. I loved it.
