Foot problems

Ive been having foot problems for about a few years now. It got so bad I went to a foot specialist and he sent me to have therapy done on it (ultra sound therapy I believe it was) I have almost flat feet, and odd fatty deposit on the side of them (a xray was done to make sure it was nothing serious, doctors arent sure whats up with it). I was recently diagnosed with fibro. The pain is mostly in the bottom of my feet and can go into my toes. My feet feel extremely cold (even with warm socks on) and my big toes have a yellowish hue to them. My feet look pretty puffy to atleast one really does. I do have issues with my hands as well and sometimes my nail can go from purpleish to blueish. Was just wondering if you guys had any insights?

Re: Foot problems

I'm no doctor, so keep that in mind.

the blue/purplish/yellow hues almost sound like they could be Reynaud's (poor circulation) which could account for the temperature and color change. Even with the circulation issue, that could account for the fatty deposits as well too, maybe? Not enough blood makings its way to the extremities. I'm not super familiar with fibro, so those could be side effects there too.

Again, I'm just throwing stuff out there that you could look up on the internet. Good luck with everything!

Re: Foot problems

I have Raynauds syndrome in my hands and feet, the feet at times appear to look bluish/purple, and my hands do the same. I sometimes lose feeling in the tips of my fingers, they turn white/yellowish when there is no circulation in them. I run them under warm water and rub them, and the blood then returns after a little while. I do not have much pain in them. But I do have arthritis in both feet. I am supposed to not handle things that are cold, and to always wear gloves and warm socks in the Winter. I do not have any fatty deposits, not sure what that could be. Are you sure the pain on your feet is not Plantar Facitis?? (not sure of spelling).
