Peroneal Surgery, and 1st Metatarsal Osteotomy

I had ,Peroneaous, Tendon, surgery (left ankle) on December 14 which was 16 days ago. My left foot is about 65% numb on the bottom of the foot. I had some numbness prior to surgery, but thought the surgery would take care of this. I had repair of torn ,peroneous, brevis, tendon and 1st, metatarsal, osteotomy,. The osteotomy was to improve my dropped big toe. I also have high arches.
When looking at my knee to foot view, I look very bow-legged and am wondering if any of this is due to the surgery. My biggest concern at this time is the extreme ,numbness,. I am wondering if this is due to lack of proper circulation as I am not sure the nurse did a great job when she put on my cast.

This coming Wednesday, Jan.2 I am due to get my stitches out..I am not looking forward to that experience. I don't know if I will get a new cast or a boot. I would prefer a cast as the fiberglass is so much lighter than the heavy boot.

I look forward to hearing from you.

Hey Man, I get my cast off January 21. Good Luck on your surgery. When I am healed from the left ankle then they will do the right one sometime in 2013. Yep, you heard right I tore the Pereoneous Brevis tendon both left and right ankles!
