That is cool about your son being down my way. SMCM is a great school - or so I have heard Tomorrow is the big day, keeping my fingers crossed and bringing my Tramadol with me

I'm so sorry your foot is bad today... Mine too. Baaaah. My own fault. Did too much yesterday and then had to work today. . Stupid foot indeed.

Re: 10 months after brostrum - seeing an ankle specialist...

So sorry about your ankle. I totally get it as far as doing too much and then paying for it. I must confess I am generally in pain more often than not. Will be glad when tomorrow is here. Will let everyone know what the doctor says tomorrow.

Re: 10 months after brostrum - seeing an ankle specialist...

Are you wearing a brace on your ankle? I had the same surgery in sept. I was nwb in a cast 6 weeks. Cam boot pwb as tolerated for a month, now in a form fitting brace. Significant pain still but my OS thinks I have developed RSD in my ankle so I have an appt next week. Are you back at work? Mines worker comp too but I hired a lawyer bc worker comp was giving me the run around.

Re: 10 months after brostrum - seeing an ankle specialist ....

I have a work comp injury as well and they have tried to drag their feet as well as trying to deny procedures. I try to let the doctors office deal with them until they start trying to drag their feet...then I will call my work comp case worker myself to get the ball rolling. If they start dragging their feet on this, call them and try getting it going. If they are still being uncooperative, then tell them you are going to hire a lawyer! Really, you should anyways with the injury that you have and with what you are dealing with!!! I didnt hire a lawyer for a long time after hurting myself...now I have an attorney and let me tell you, they haven't dragged their feet at all now!!!

Hey, thanks! I do have a lawyer, thankfully. I actually hired him before the surgery. He does get on them - at one point he has threatened to take them to court because they are moving so slowly on these appointments and stuff. It is completely ridiculous! Dr. Jeng did order another MRI today during my appointment - we will see how long this takes for workers comp to approve it!

Re: 10 months after brostrum - seeing an ankle specialist...

WOW, WOW, WOW. So I had my appt with Dr. Jeng a couple weeks ago and he ordered another MRI. Workers comp has been taking six - eight weeks to approve anything. It has been approved already!!!!! WOW! I have the MRI in Baltimore next Tuesday morning and see Dr. Jeng on Wednesday next week. This is incredible! So relieved. So hoping he can figure out what is going on with this ankle of mine and figure out what the next step (no pun intended ) should be!

Mercy runs a tight ship, I bet they have something to do with getting everything through (plus your lawyer). Thrilled to hear that you are able to move forward to swiftly!!
