Stiff toes after bunion and hammertoe surgery. (I need advice!)

Hello all,

It's been a couple weeks since my surgery and at this point I'm bandage free and I can get my foot wet in the shower.

My big toe is kind of stiff and I have a metal plate in it which makes it difficult to bend it all the way down. My Dr has advised me to manually move my toe a couple times everyday to break up scar tissue, but it hurts ALOT!!And as for my index toe it has two screws and its still pretty swollen and "loose" which is bothering me.

So I was wondering if anyone can give me any kind of advice

Don't know about the hammertoe procedure but if you manipulate your toe when it's been "warmed up" in the bath, that will help. The muscles and all will stretch better.
