| Re: Broken toe
I agree with jdm, a broken toe is nothing to fool around with. Years ago, a podiatrist told me I had apparently broken my little toes (both feet) several times. (I frequently went barefoot in the house, would get busy/distracted and bang my toe on a piece of furniture.) I knew I had pain, sometimes serious pain but it would always pass, and I felt like a wimp for paying attention to anything so "trivial", so I never had them checked. The upshot of all this accidental toe-banging is that I now have hammertoes on both feet--in addition to the bunions I'm now having fixed. In short, if you think you've broken a toe, know that it is not trivial and that you could develop future problems if you don't have it attended to. Just a word to the wise.
