please help with foot pain - Foot Problems Message Board

hi,
i've noticed that when i get up in the middle of the night and walk to the bathroom that the soles of my feet hurt, recently i've noticed it more during the day (always when walking barefoot) it's very uncomfortable and any suggestions as to what it might be or how to help it stop hurting so much would be greatly appreciated.

Can you give more detail? Where exactly is the pain??

it's pain mostly in the arch of my foot. i do tend to sit with one foot underneath me or with my feet turned to the outside when i'm sitting in a chair ( i can never seem to sit with my feet flat on the floor). i do have narrow feet and i don't always wear narrow shoes but i can't see that 26 years later this is all of a sudden a problem. the only other change is that i haven't been jogging yet since i moved and i used to go frequently. any help would be greatly appreciated, i don't have insurance and i don't see the clinic being of much use
