surgery friday noon,, - Foot Problems Message Board

Hello,
well I have taken the plunge and have surgery on Friday the 9th ( also happens to be birthday )),,
I have the right big toe bunion, straighten big toe, and straightenlast three toes and fix the tailor bunion,,,
the only toe not worked on is the one next to big toe,, but that could change,,
I am told it will last 2,5 hours,,,
I am a 'weeeeeeeee' bit scared.
I get a screw in the bone at base big toe and wedges cut out of the toes to straighten them.
I am getting IV sedation,, I dont want to hear or remember any of this!
AND I dont want to wake up nauseated,,
I will be praying for all who have surgery soon,, keep me in yours!

That sucks that it has to be on your birthday. What a birthday present. But then again, it could be a great thing to have better looking feet! Hope everything goes well.

Good luck! I would take the IV sedation over general any day! So good choice... Yea, I don't think I would like having surgery on my b-day.. but look at it like you're getting your foot fixed for your b-day present..

awww, what a b- day present but at least you'll have nice feet! friday will mark three weeks from my surgery! you'll be fine.. good luck!
