I have the left little toe overlapping the fourth toe
My father had both his toes up on top
His toes became quite flat & gave him no discomfort & he did not worry if people noticed them
He used to say "if you do not like them, then do not look"
If my foot starts hurting (wearing new or tight shoes), by squashing the fourth toe underneath, I tape the little toe further up on my foot so it does not press down on the other toes
The little toe is quite comfortable there
The only thing I have to remember is to remove the tape when I take my shoes off otherwise everyone that sees it pulled up think it looks strange
They also think that it is hurting me but it is comfortable up there
Have you tried this or don't your toes hurt when wearing tight or pointed shoes ?
Are your toes heredity ?
