Foot Drop
I had surgery for narrowing at l3-l4 in my back what they call Foraminotomy,which before the surgery my right foot had foot drop and pain in my foot.After the surgery the pain is going but my question is my foot drop ,has any one had foot drop and recovery from it with physical theapy.

I work in a skilled nursing facility, and i do know of patients who had foot drop that imrpoved drastically after physical therapy and a good set of orthotics. Good Luck!

Hi Lugnut
Have you had a nerve conduction study?
I have foot drop resulting from a dislocated knee, torn acl/lcl/pcl and broken fiblua. My accident was in Oct 03 and the foot drop hasn't changed. After 2 EMG the nerve is not regenerating. My foot drop is probably permanent.
I had 5 months of PT 3days a week.
I know it's been awhile since your post but I hope things are going better for you.
