Heel pain

Hi,
I recently had pain on the bottom heel of my right foot. The skin got red and sore, then so painful that I had to walk on my toes when I walked. The whole thing lasted a few days to a week at most. But as soon as that ended, I started getting the same thing on my left foot. The only thing out of the ordinary in my life for the past several weeks is that I moved into a new home. Could it be from moving furniture? Could the new carpet have something to do with it? Or is this something unrelated? Any ideas, suggestions would be great. Thanks.

BTW: I'm a male, so it's not b/c of high heels. And I've been using the same pair of shoes for several months now.
