Having an osteotomy to fix my flat feet. - Foot Problems Message Board

I'm finally having the procedure done. They are gonna lenthen my tendon one on the left side of my ankle the other on the top of my foot and they are gonna realign the medial bones of my foot. I'm really hoping this surgery will work i'm running out of options. I'm only 29 years old and the arthritis is killing me.

I had an osteotomy for the other problem- high arch. I hope it all goes well for you, and wish you a speedy recovery!

I had posted on one of the other boards to see how you have been doing. I know that you had gone through so much.So how are you doing?

I'm ok, I am almost 3 weeks post-op a gastroc recession and sural nervectomy. I am walking so all is good there, but my pain isn't much better. I am giong crazy because I have seen so many doctors and don't know what to do. I would like to look into finding a highly skilled podiatrist but haven't been successful yet, i find the ones who just do bunions.. Its frustrating. But surgery went well, my fevers are spiking again. Kinda sucks. I am confused.

Sorry to hear that you are not feeling better.I hope you are not starting another infection.Walking is a good thing though
