In one months time, I am scheduled to undergo a Bunionectomy on my right foot. I have no pain at present in the joint but experience soreness after wearing 3" heels all evening. My only real reason for this surgery is to be able to continue to wear high heels without the unsightly large joint-viz. with a
straightened right big toe. Does anyone else wear 3" heels post op and how soon afterwards? Is the vanity worth the pain, or should I just have wider toed shoes made for me? My surgeon has implied that wearing high heels would be 'a bonus'. I've been told he will use a small metal plate and 2 screws. Can anyone please give me some very urgent advice?
My sympathies and good wishes to you all on the road to recovery...
