| Anyone Have Bone Regrowth Problems?
On week no. 10 after having the bunion removed, toe broken, bone wedge removed and two screws inserted. Most recent doctor's appointment and doctor concerned about the swelling. He took x-rays and apparently the bone where the wedge was removed and screws inserted is just not growing back and that thin black line of emptiness is still showing up on the x-ray. He is keeping me in the walking air cast for another three weeks and I'm supposed to step up calcium intake. He also wrapped my foot with a compression bandage to try to fight the swelling. He said if it isn't better in three weeks, we would think about going through bone regeneration therapy, but it was early at this stage and the insurance company wouldn't recognize it yet. I doubled check and he's definitely right on that one. Has anyone out there had this problem? What happened? Did it work out? Thanks-
