| foot surgery update
I posted on here a few months ago when my husband had foot surgery. I was asked by a member to do an update on his progress. Well......He had his foot reconstructed because his foot was flattening. Everything went smoothly. The surgery was very painful but he kept his pain meds to a minimum.
He was put into a large brace for the first two months then moved to a ortho shoe. He took his first long walk today, three months post op. The incisions healed right away. His foot stunk to high heaven. Phewww!!!!!
He went back to work as soon as they let him. He has an office job. He did overtime yesterday for the first time since his surgery.
He is still in pain. His heel hurts. But, we had discussed before the surgery that he might have the same pain after as before. That is the risk that we all take with surgery.
