Carpenter,
I had a great outcome despite the typical bad prognosis (search my previous posts). Your husband's recovery is still in the early stages. This is the first time I've read here of leg bruises "all the way up his leg" coincident with this injury. Did your husband shatter/break something else above his heal? And how old his he too?

Excellent detail on your last post. I am looking forward to those pictures. Every shattered heal injury is unique and your husband's seems very severe.
