Toe sore - Foot Problems Message Board

I have had this sore on the bottom of my big toe for about a few years now and im not realy sure what it is. Sometimes if i walk on it or have something rub against it (like a blanket) it will sting really bad. Like i said, I have been able to live with it for a few years, but i really want to get rid of it. I have been trying to research on the inernet, but have had no luck.

Have you asked a Dr. about it? I would have it checked. You you have diabetes by any chance?

nope, but my mom thinks it is just a plantars wart.

that sounds like what i had... at the bottom joint of my big toe would kill be. i wouldnt be able to bend it and if i was in bed any slight movement from sheets would just kill me. i have rheumathoid arthritis and i had a hip replacement last year so i had surgery on my foot a month ago. they took some bone out of my big toe and straightened it more and 5 weeks later i still have the cast on. it sucks!! but im hoping it will work out well. i know in another few years i will have to get my toe joint fused. this is just a quick fix since im only 26

My little toe, and the toe after that gets sore.
Thought it was my shoes being to tight, changed
my shoes and I still have the problem. It seems
that these two toes are rubbing together and
causing some irritation that can be painful when
you walk.

I bought these toe bandages at walgreens which
is a sponge tube that you can cut to size and slip
over your toes to relieve the friction and pain.

Also will be trying these insoles that are filled with
liquid for more comfort.

Any feedback would be appreciated.
