Has anyone heard or had surgery by Dr.Kristianson? Just trying to find a good doctor....

So sorry to hear your story, it's what the rest of us going through this stuff fear the most! You are really young to have to go through this, never mind twice in a row! At least you are young and able to heal well, and the condition of your feet would have only gotten worse as time went on.

There must be a way to look up Dr.s references, etc. online. I did find this -

What kind of surgery are you facing? And where (nearest big city?) in NY are you?

I am near plattsburgh, ny...however, that is hardly a big city. The closest one I am to is Burlington, VT and Albany is about 2 hours.

About 4 1/2 months ago I had my big toe fused (MTP) and a hammertoe correction on my second toe. They jsut discovered that instead of the actual fusion taking place that scar tissue and a substance like cartilage formed instead. Apparently, this happens to about 30% of people and of course I would have to be that 30%. So, now my os wants to go back in and fuse the bone together with a permanent screw (last time I had two removable pins).

What I was looking for is a city with a pro football or basketball team or one with a Division 1 College Football program. They would all have a good foot surgeon that they use.
