Low grade fever .... - Foot Problems Message Board

I am almost two weeks post-op, and have been running a low fever (98.8 to 99.8) on and off since the surgery...

I have been assuming that this is just my body's reaction to the surgery...just curious if anyone elses has experienced anything similar?

hi katie, i never experienced a fever, but that is so low grade. if you feel bad, i would call the dr. debbie g

Yes, I too had a bit of a fever on day 5 after my surgery. It only lasted the one day. I attributed it to the surgery, possibly the pain meds as well as stress from the 5 hour commute home from the city after my initial post-op appointment. I'm sure this is normal, but a quick call to your dr. will put your mind at ease. Take care and let us know how you are doing.
