How do
your toes look? Are you satisfied with the results? Did they come out really straight?
I had my third post-op appointment yesterday. All the bandages came off (what a relief!) and an x-ray taken. The scar is oozing a bit but that's from swelling. I just have a row of band aids on it now and an ace bandage for the swelling (which has been considerably less than the first time!).
Boy, this guy did one hell of a job!!! The bones are all healing well and they are perfectly aligned. The intermetatarsal angle has been significantly reduced and all three screws look good.

Only, my grt toe looks
really straight, and it's kind of floppy (if I shake my foot, my toe feels as if it's flopping around). I hope it's not over-corrected, it's almost too straight. My doctor said this is from the cut tendon and it should tighten up. There's a space between my toes (which hasn't seen the light of day in years!) just big enough for flip flops. Looks weird to me, but maybe I'm just not used to it.
He said I can start putting weight on it as tolerated (NOT!) and use the cam boot. I can't wear the cam boot for any length of time (too painful) so I'm still walking on the side of my foot around the house. But, I'm getting there
