| Re: Appt. Tomorrow
First, this doctor is so much better than the last. He went over the MRI and pointed out some possible old injuries that were not previously seen which could be a source of pain. He said the PTT looked fine other than some fluid around it. I am going for CT scan because some of the abnormalities will show better on CT. After that, the two scans will be reviewed and probably injections into very specific areas to see which is causing the problem. I am okay with the plan, but I just wonder about how the MRI findings said one thing and the doctor didn't see it. Everyone's eye is different and MRI can be interpreted differently so I decided to hold off saying anything until after the CT since that was the first time he looked at the MRI. Right now I have the obvious talar beak (osteophyte), possibly problems with the grooves the PTT and peroneal tendons run, and the subtalar joint has possible coalition. So, I'm off to wait for the CT referal to process.
He also talked of putting me in a boot to give it some protection until I see him next. After some discussion we decided against that because I would lose ROM and tone, both of which I work hard to keep up.
