| Re: big toe still crooked after bunionectomy
I had both feet done one a year ago and the other almost 2 yrs ago.
I had the great toe and the second toe done on one foot. I looks like the best of the corrections to me. My great toe is pretty straight and there is a mini "bunion" left. However, my second foot had the great toe and the second and third toe corrected. My great toe on that foot still tilts to the right and the "bunion" is a little larger.
I had severe bunions and completely wacko feet for far too many years.
All of my corrected toes lie flat on the ground.
I don't think that everything will be visually perfect!
I have no pain and can do major walking and my feet are the best that they have ever been.
They look just fine in my perpetual flip flops.
Have you gone to physical therapy?
I did and they showed me how to do deep stretches to the toes.
This may be what you need for the second toe that doesn't rest on the ground.
I do these diligently every day on each of the surgerized toes.
Deep bends in both directions for 30 sec. I just think that it keeps the scar tissue from creating problems.
Check out that second toe problem soon.
But, I will say that you are very early into the recup period and the swelling is probably still with you.............
