An MRI will show if there is tendinitis or tendinosis, as well as any larger tears, tumors, or other abnormalities. Most often it's to determine if the tendon is torn or not.
Hi, in my MRI, they were able to see inflammation, longitudinal tearing, and abnormal tendon thickening, tenysynovitis, edema of the tibiotalar joint, osteochondral lesions, and ples planus deformity. So there is alot that can be found on the MRI.
Thanks for replying. I have an assessory navicular bone in my foot and I am not sure if that is the cause of the post.tibial tendonitus. I am having a MRI on tuesday. So I suppose I will find out more after the MRI.....
