chilectomy surgery and tarsal tunnel
Just wondering what kind of anesthesia was used on anyone out there that had either one of the these surgeries??? My hubby will probably need surgery for both of these , but has airway trouble and it is very dangerous to sedate or try to give him general anesthesia. Was hoping maybe a regional or nerve block could be used and be able to keep him comfy.

I had general because they told me if they did a nerve block or local they would have to stick a needle in the nerve to see if it was deadened enough! YIKES! Put me out! And I have asthma but it was no big deal.
