Morton's Neuroma - Foot Problems Message Board

I've always been plagued with Morton's Neuroma on both feet, more painful on the left foot. Has anyone had the operation to cut the nerve causing the problem. Any undesireable consequences? Do you recommend the operation? This is causing me great difficulty, and especially as I grow older (age 62). Thanks

I just had 3 removed in one foot 4 weeks ago. Recovery is "so far, so good". I'm 38. I was on crutches 2-1/2 weeks. I'm still limping, but I can honestly say that it gets better every single day.

I had the surgery in May 1993. The pain had been in my foot for quite a while and I finally decided that I didn't want to deal with it anymore. I had the surgery and I did fine with it. I didn't have any problems after the surgery except with the crutches. I don't think that I am the most talented person and I hated using them. But other than that, I had no problems. Haven't had any problems since then. My surgery was done by an ortho doctor.
