I had a chilectomy 12 weeks ago for Freiberg's Infractions and I seriously think I made a mistake in having the surgery.
Every time the weather changes (ie: gets cold or is going to rain) my foot is UNBEARABLE with pain!!!!!!!
Is this normal???My Dr says it's all in my head but it's NOT!!!
Anyone else find when the weather changes the pain is there?
Thank You to all who respond !!!!!!!!!!
I don't think it's in your head. It's long been documented that weather changes bring out those aches and pains in our joints. My thought would be some form of arthritis or just your bone still healing after your procedure so it's more sensitive. Did you experience this type of thing before your surgery?
I had surgery in june and i too swear I have more pain when the weather changes. Also I had gotten a cold with a fever and my ankle killed me, it was so tender!!

Are you taking anti-inflammatories? Aleve or Celebrex? I would certainly do that after a cheilectomy. Twelve weeks is not full recovery time. One year is more like it.
