bunion surgury - Foot Problems Message Board

I have surgury in 2 days and I'm getting scared has anyone had a screw put in their foot for a talor's bunion. I'm having 3 shots put in my foot but, I'll be fully awake will it bother my stomach? Has anyone had this done? how is the recovery? I'm scared plese reply!!!!!!!!!!!!!!Diane

Dear Diane Marie,
I had bunion surgery on both feet in 1998. It is the best thing I have ever done for my feet! I have screws and pins, and am very seldom bothered by them.I can go barefoot at the beach without embarassment, and can walk for long distances without pain. I hope you have as much success as I have. I was put under general anesthesia for my procedure.
