I used to get really bad water blisters, huge, on my big toe after waitressing all night. I think I got them so bad due to shoes being to tight sometimes and friction of foot rubbing against the shoe. You may need better/more comfortable footwear and try using insoles like the dr. schols gel pads to put in your shoes those may help.
