Well, I had the MRI on my left foot today. It was so painful at work. (I worked til noon....on my feet the whole time.) I was glad to get to leave early and head to doctor's office.

The MRI technician was not the friendliest person in the world. But she was okay. They put my foot in a special "sleeve" type of thing that kept it immobilized.

I did okay but she kept going on and on about not wiggling your toes even though it is almost an "instinct" to do so. UGH! If she hadn't said it I think I would have been okay but I kept thinking "Don't move your toes, don't move your toes." I managed to keep still even though it felt like I was in there forever. I was in for about an hour in reality.

I can NOT wait to find out what they see.

I don't know whether she wasn't seeing anything at first cause she did a few scans (about 10 min. or so) and then came back in the room, pulled me out of the MRI and told me to show her where on my foot it hurts. I couldn't reach down to my foot so I had to verbally tell her while she pointed to different parts on my foot. Then she taped some type of pill (they've done this before) to the area she wanted to concentrate on. Then put me back in machine and scanned about another 45 minutes.

My back got sore laying on the table. When she pulled me out of the MRI at the end and took my foot out of the sleeve she said, "Okay you can get up." I thought "huh....easy for you to say." I was so stiff. It took me a few minutes to get up. She offered absolutely no assistance. Like I said she was nice enough but definitely not the best bed side manner I've ever had.

Oh well, at least the MRI is behind me and now I can hopefully find out something. I go to foot specialist on Thursday. Looking sssooooo forward to that, too!! I hope he can tell me a WHOLE LOT more.

Thanks for letting me vent about all this. I know an MRI is no big deal. So many of you have been through major surgeries and recoveries. I guess I'm just so sick of the constant pain. Anyway, thanks again for listening.
