Hi. Does anyone know how long an ankle would be swollen after a bad break and after the cast is taken off?

And how long will it be sore/stiff--that makes you limp??

Sorry I can't give you info about a break but I tore ligaments and had a cast for a month. I was sore for about another month and swelled for about two months after. If you have any doubts about the length of time it is taking you to heal talk to your doctor. Good luck.

How is your ankle? My cast came off yesterday and I'm still real swollen. The Dr. said it would probably swell for another 6 weeks or so. Are you better? I can't even wear my shoes.
