A Growth around the toe - Foot Problems Message Board

My wife has a growth on her big toe. It is actually beginning to wrap itself around her toe. We went to a podiatrist about a year ago, and he couldnt really tell me what it was, he just wanted to operate. Just wondering if anyone out there has ever heard of anything like this or have they ever experienced anything similar. I do have photos if anyone is interested. Any inout would be a great help. Thank you

Is the growth tissue or is it bone?

hello, the growth is tissue. she complains from time to time that a pain shoots through her toe.

Sorry, I have not heard of that before. Personally, I would get a few opinions, for a guy to say right off the bat that he wants to operate without knowing what it is, I would get another opinion. Good luck, let us know what works out.
