| I Ran (mistake)
I had a Brostrom done last June, and it went well. I was FWB 3 weeks after the surgery, seriously dancing about 5 months post-op...The only thing that I've had trouble with was running. My surgeon told me that it could be up to a year before running was OK with me, and not to run if it caused pain. Makes sense, right? So I've avoided running as much as possible, but then on Wednesday, my gym teacher basically said that I had to run (do the pacer test), or I'd fail the final. Since failing gym isn't exactly an option, I ran...And now I'm seriously regretting it. After going across the gym width wise 23 times, my ankle was dead. It hurt, and was not cool, so I stopped (my teacher, by the way, was disappointed that I didn't get more but HELLO! I have a bad ankle). Yesterday, I was going to wear a brace, but forgot, and that was bad. Today, I'm wearing my Aircast. I'm hoping that if I rest it over the weekend (well, as much as I can), it'll be OK, but should I go to the doctor if it isn't better by Monday?
