Anyone had Subtalar implant removed?...Recovery time pls - Foot Problems Message Board

So how bad is the removal, I have had it for approximately 4 months and now my tendons have healed and the only pain I have is from the implant so he is going to remove it Friday.

He said I would be out of work 6 weeks, but might return light duty sooner. I am a Correctional Officer so I am on my feet long periods of time. I really thought I would just take one day off so have 3 days to recover but guess not.

Anyone have input? I can not wait to get it out so I will be pain free.

Bump please, my surgery is in 4 days.... if anyone can respond with any help I would truly appreciate it.

If he says 6 weeks, it's probably going to be six weeks.
