21 weeks after bunionette surgery I am finally, I hope, going to be able to wear a real shoe.

11 weeks in PO shoe (5 NWB, 6 WB)
2 weeks in tennis shoes
8 weeks in a boot after stress fractures in 1st metatarsal and intermediate cuneiform were discovered and stress reaction in metatarsals 2-5.

One more day in the boot. I am so excited even though I know if will be a 4-6 weeks progression to full activity. I am so scared of another setback though.

what great news! just remember there might be some swelling. go easy at first with what type of shoes. your foot will be compressed in the shoe and that will help with any swelling.
