Having fusion on big toe monday, wish me luck - Foot Problems Message Board

I am going monday morning to have the fusion, am starting to get nervous. I had a implant that failed so I will need a bone graft from my hip. Doc said I should at least stay one night at hospital because of the graft. A little history, I am only 25 but crushed the first joint a few years ago with a fifty pound dumbell. i am not that worried about the fusion because it is pretty much already fused will not bend at all. I will keep everyone posted and please share your expierence with me so i will know what to expect.

I dont have any experiences *yet* I have a lapidus procedure scheduled for the 12th. I am a bit anxious for mine too...I'm a VERY active person and it will be quite a lifestyle change for awhile for me. I'm sure you'll have time to keep us updated while you are healing...You'll do fine!
