| Injuries after surgery?
I had bunion surgery Feb. 5th and my recovery has been about a week behind "average" (according to my dr). I'm in the surgical shoe and this point and transitioning to a sneaker.
I am still having some pain in my ankle along with swelling. I understand that as a result of the surgery, as I recover, it is natural for my body to compensate so that my ankle may be under more/different stress than usual. However, I'm getting concerned that at this point, this length of time after surgery, it is possible that in compensating I might have incurred an injury, like a sprain or stress fracture or something. I plan to discuss with my dr tomorrow, but was curious if anyone has had experience with this type of complication during recovery.
