| Toe Fusion
Hello,
I'm from Wirral England and have had problems with my left big toe for last few years and was wondering if someone could help me with some advice.
I bend it back a few years ago playin football an after waiting to see if it would get better I when hospital an found out I needed a op. They cut the spurs away on my toe joint an sanded some bone away. That was 15 months ago and its hurting now when I walk anywhere, its ok the rest of the time but if i walk move then 300 yds it starts hurtin me. I've been in to hospital today and the doctor has advised me to have Toe Fusion, he said after that I wouldn't beable to bend my toe at all , but I won't be in pain when I walk or play golf. But i'm not sure if I like the idea of never bending my toe again. He said some pins go in my toe and never come out and that keeps my toe rigid. Has anyone had this same op and how you get on.
