| Screw Backing Out After Bunionectomy
Has anyone else had this problem? I had my initial bunionectomy the last week of October and a routine screw removal in late February. Since then I've been having a great deal of pain in the instep area. I saw my doctor yesterday, he took an X-ray and said that another screw in my foot is backing out. OWW! He wants to see me in 8 weeks to do another X-ray. At that time he'll see if the bone has healed more and if so, he can do another surgery to remove the plate and the backed-out screw. Has anyone out there had anything similar happen to them? Thanks for your help!
