Kind of a random question today. I had PTTD surgery on my left foot in 10/08 - just past 6 months post-op. For the past 2 months, my big toe (where they took the tendon for the transfer) seems to be losing the toenail from the bottom up. Even after PT, I have lost some ROM in this toe and have some residual numbness - but has anyone ever experienced this?
There wasn't any specific incident of stubbing it or hurting it in any way - and it really just seems to be growing up from the base of the toe - there is a space between the hard nail and the base - could this be from a lack of blood flow?
