I Am going to have two screws removed from my partially healed navicular. How big a deal is this? How involved is the proceedure? Is there any PWB or NWB involved? How long til i will be back to full activity?

I can't answer any of your questions since I haven't had my screws removed yet but I was just wondering how long you've had them in? I want them to take mine out so bad but he wants to wait longer than usual since I've had healing problems in the past...
i'm having mine removed the 19th. my doc said pwb 2 weeks, but his fellow said normally nwb 2 weeks. so i will see. so crutches 2 weeks, then if incision healed well then progress from there. he also said local anesthesia.
The screws have been in 15 months at this time. Its sort of an unusual situation. There is still a fracture line, but he hopes that there is enough "fiberous" healing to get along with. The the last xrays showed that the screws are moving and he figures that is what is causing my discomfort at this point. Two weeks of PWB or even NWB won't be a big deal. I was 5 months NWB last year. Thanks for the info.
