I'm not sure, however, be careful of picking a doctor. When I first got my foot injury symptoms I was seeing my doctor for something else. I mentioned my foot condition and she said it sounded like fasciitis to her. She had had it herself in the past. She gave me some tips. It got worse so I went to see a podiatrist. He confirmed that is what it was, gave me a cortisone shot in it and an insert to wear in my shoe.
Nothing helped me. I wish I had really gotten some referrals but going to him. My insurance covered some, but I had to pay a lot out of pocket too for the insert and shot. It was really money wasted. Be careful of who you see.
