Smile Bilateral surgery.
Hi every one.
I am new to this site and have read most of your threads and wanted to say hello!
I went to see the Orthopedic surgeon today and he has booked me in for bilateral Scarf and Akins Osteotomies on 21st of this month. I am very nervous as I am registered disabled, a single mum and I live with my youngest son who is 11 and has complex needs. I am hoping that social services will help out with care but I am worried how to cope.
Anyway, hope you are all continuing on the road to a successful recovery.

Hi Beetroot just wondering what you mean about finding your way round the site. I just went to the search box and typed in Foot Problems and your thread was listed on that page.
How are you feeling as your big day approaches? Have you found out whether social services will be helping out?
Im feeling ok at the moment just wading through dvds to keep away the boredrom.

Enjoy your last week on your feet and make sure your well prepared for whats ahead.
