anyone still have nerve pain after surgery

I had surgery 3 weeks ago(chevron bunionectmy). Part of the problem was that in a past surgery(removal of sesmoid) a nerve was trapped in scar tissue. Correction was done to release the nerve during my bunionectomy but I'm still feeling the same exact feeling as before the surgery. Is it much to early to panic? does the nerve pain subside after surgery? has anyone had any experience with this? any response would be great. Thanks!
