RJ 448 Newbie (female) Join Date: Sep 2009 Location: CA Posts: 1	frozen joint on second toe from Grand toe I have had this second joint (the one closest to the foot) for many years...it is bothersome in all but tennis shoes. My Doctor is suggesting a rod be placed in my toe to strighten the toe...to be removed after it heals. The down time is one week in bed and two weeks on crutches and one month of no driving. I am my husbands primary care giver...so this is a big problem. Is there any lazor surgery or something less intrusive to remeady this? Thanks.
