| Please help! Daughter has foot infection from glass?
My 6 year old daughter stepped on a piece of glass while playing at grandmas house on 8-14, she needed 4 stitches and 7 days of Keflex. 12 days later, stitches were out but we noticed tiny red dots on her foot but figured it was because her foot had been rapped up so much it was just irritated.
On 9-12, the bottom of her foot looked burnt and had a lot of heat in it. Took her to ER, she was put on 10 days of Keflex 4 times a day! The day before she finished the antibiotics, her foot started turning pink again. Her pediatrician wants to send her to an ortho surgeon? The cut is healed up with a scar but red and warm....Any suggestions or advice (besides gluing shoes on her feet!)
