I would first recommend you check with your doctor. I was walking two miles a day at 8 wks with pain (thought mending broken bones are supposed to hurt, right?). I saw my doctor who told me not to do more than daily activity walking until four months. I also learned the doctor had removed one of the sesamoid bones during surgery to aid the toe placement, which explained the occasional pain on the ball of my foot. I'm two years post-surgery now, and the foot is doing very well. Call your doctor and ask plenty of questions.
